#ParkerLives: The Shaping of a Community Center
to Unify Parker and End Teen Suicide

WHAT: #ParkerLives is a call to individuals in the community to come together as one, to solve personal and community issues. The event is themed “A Community Center in the Park”, simulating the experience, services and programs available to anyone in the community at the developing grow community center and cafe. As the golden thread that weaves the community together, grow community center and cafe’s first mission is to end teen suicide, violence and self-destruction.
WHO IS THIS EVENT FOR: Everyone! Hundreds of Teens, Parents of Teens, Men, Women, Couples, Children, Parents of Children, Twenty Somethings, Singles, Community Career and Business People, Empty Nesters, Seniors and more
SPEAKERS & PERFORMERS: Town of Parker Leaders, Survivors of Teen Suicide, Leaders in Teen Suicide Support Networks, grow community center and cafe Directors, Community Business Leaders and Influencers, First Responder Leaders and a Collection of Local Teen Talent
ACTIVITIES: #ParkerLives is an event by the community, for the community. Each of the activities and partners were chosen because they help Parker become a better place to live, a better place to raise a family and a better place to grow.
Virtual Grow Community Center and Cafe
—Modeled after the actual community center and cafe, this collection of interactive experiences designed to engage the community in the shaping of grow’s program and services include:
Man Cave – home of the Braveheart Men’s Club
“Behind-the-Mask” Empowered Youth Hangout – a place to explore beauty from the inside out
The Playroom, by Rhea Lana SE Denver– a taste of grow’s “pay as you can afford” daycare
The Learning Center, by grow academy – a series of talks on relevant topics from healthy eating to embracing mental health challenges to finding your awesome
The Futures of America – an active mentorship exchange between community business/career people and our next generation
Get to Know Grow – the hub for two-way communication between the community and grow. Here you can pick-up your community center voting sheet and raffle ticket for Community Partner prizes.
—People will be able to vote on programs and services offered by grow in each interactive booth
Community Partner Booths
—A collection of local businesses, support groups and organizations committed to unifying Parker and ending teen suicide, violence and self-destruction.
Parker’s Got Talent
—A talent show comprised of local youth. Audience will vote on best talent. Winners will receive prizes/scholarships to support their talent.
